Six Months Old!!!

Hannah turned 6 months old yesterday! She will be one year old before we know it! I am amazed at how much she has changed in 6 months! What a blessing!!! She is growing so fast and learning so much! I love that sweet little baby so much! Being a mommy is the greatest "job" God gave women. Right now she is in the living room with her daddy. He must be hilarious because she is giggling! What a precious sound. Today mom, Amy, & I took Hannah, Bradley, Emily, & Clay to have their pictures made. We got some great pictures! Hannah did great until they put her in a wicker chair. She did not like it, plus it was time for a nap. Hannah sat up all by herself in some of them. I was not far from her but she was sitting on her own. After we were done with the pictures we had a visit from my best friend, Brandi. I love her and when we are together it makes me miss that she lives so far away. We went to the Griffin's - just like old times. I love that family too! Josh went to the fishing tournament weigh in at the Civic Center. Now we are at home - Hannah is finally asleep - and it is very windy outside. It sounds like our roof is about to blow off of our house! We will have to watch the weather tonight. Tomorrow our Gospel Meeting starts and I am excited. I hope we have a large crowd. You are invited if you would like to come and hear the gospel preached. We would love to have you come and visit us. Tomorrow morning we are having a fellowship meal after the morning services. I need to be cooking but instead I am sitting here typing. I got excited about the pics and wanted to post them ASAP. I better get busy cooking in case the power goes out tonight. Stay safe tonight!

We had a good weekend. Friday night we went to eat with my mom & dad. Saturday I helped the kids at church work on the Group Scrapbook and then we spent Saturday night at home. Josh grilled hamburgers and they were really good! I would like to have one right now! Sunday was church, of course. Sunday afternoon, Josh went to play ball with Alex & Justin, Hannah took a nap, and I layed in bed with a bag of Chex Mix and watched The Wedding Planner. I ended up taking a nap before the movie was over. Sunday night we had game night at church. Then Monday morning made a drastic turn and we did not have any fun! Josh woke up Monday morning with a BAD stomach virus! I ended up having to take him to the American Family Care. He was so dehydrated they had to give him two bags of fluid. He got a shot and they sent him home. He is doing better but still very weak. He didn't eat anything yesterday. He had been able to eat today, so that is a great sign! I spent today scrubbing down the bathroom and praying Hannah & I do not get sick! Now Levi is sick and Kim had to take him to the ER tonight. I hope he is feeling better soon and that no one else will get the virus!

In happier news, Hannah has learned how to roll to whatever she wants. She no longer stays on her blanket. So I am going to have to make sure that the floor is clean at all times! She seems to notice everything but her toys. When I was packing for the retreat a few weeks ago, she was laying on our bed. I was in and out of the room. I peeked in on her and she somehow got a sandwich bag from out of the box and was about to put it in her mouth when I walked in the room. My heart stopped and I started screaming. She just looked up at me and grinned! It was not funny to me! I have to watch her closely!!!

Another bit of happy news I got my car back today! I am so happy to have it back looking like new! A big THANK YOU to David & Susan for letting me drive the van for the past two weeks. I am not sure what I would have done without it!

It has been a very snotty week at the Courington house! Sunday Hannah started with a little cough. Monday I changed her pediatrician because Dr. Edwards retired (as previously posted). His replacement's nurse seemed a little rude to more than one person that called her. (We know a lot of people who used Dr. Edwards) Monday the nurse seemed like she didn't care about our problem, so I switched her. Monday & Tuesday I gave her infant cough medicine but the cough was getting worse. Wednesday morning I decided she needed to go the doctor. She has an ear infection and broncholitis. She is crackling and coughing. I feel so bad for her. Also, I have become her personal tissue. That goes with being a mommy, I guess. I will just be glad when she can breathe again and not feel so bad. I will have to say that she is a very happy baby to be so sick.

She has learned this week to play peek-a-boo. It is the cutest thing you have ever seen. She will hold her blanket up to her face and when you say "Where is Hannah?" She will peek her little head up over the blanket and smile the biggest smile! Of course, that makes Josh & I smile the biggest smile! One more thing to write in her baby book! She has also found a love for Elmo. Daniel & Mandi bought her a Tickle Me Elmo for Christmas. She loves to watch him, but he is too big for her to eat. Even though she has tried many times. Yesterday, Josh bought her a little stuffed Elmo for Valentine's Day. She lit up when she saw it and has not stopped chewing on him since. I put Sesame Street on for her in the mornings while she eats her breakfast. She will watch it for as long as her attention span will let her!

Our Valentine's Day was good. Josh bought me flowers. I made him a strawberry cake. We went to church, of course. Maybe we will go out to eat sometime this weekend.

Pictures of Hannah!

Here are some pictures of my sweet little Hannah-bug! In the last one she is spitting at her toes. It is one of her favorite things to do these days. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

GREAT NEWS!!!

No, I am not pregnant but Kim is! She called today to tell me the exciting news! I wished last year away waiting on Hannah's arrival. Now I guess I will wish this one away too, waiting on the Kelsey baby to arrive! Addi is hoping for a girl and told me tonight she thought Susie Q would be a good name. I am so excited that I just don't know what to do with myself! I guess after you experience pregnancy, labor, and being a mom you just want the whole world to experience it. It is such a great feeling and babies bring so much happiness! I am so happy for Paul, Kim, Addi, and Levi!!! The baby should arrive sometime in October. That seems like a long way off but it will be here before we know it and we will have a sweet little baby to hold and love! I CAN'T WAIT!!! Congratulations!

We had a good weekend! Josh did not have any yards to cut on Monday and deer hunting season is over, so we spent the whole day together. We slept late, even Hannah slept until 8:30 (well after getting up about 4:00 for a bottle, then went back to sleep). I got up and cooked breakfast. I never cook breakfast, so this was a special day. Then we ran errands all day, but we were together. I love it when we have days where we can spend the whole day together.

We have had several birthdays this week. Bradley turned 15 last Saturday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Bradley! I cannot believe that he is already 15 years old. He will get his permit soon. I just can't believe he is old enough to drive!!!! Ginger's birthday was yesterday. This brought about a little sadness to me! As many of you know, Ginger (my sister-in-law) was in a car accident two years ago and has severe brain damage. She is living in a nursing home. It is hard on our family but we make it through day by day! Today is Jasmine's 17th birthday! I hope she had a great birthday too!!! We love all three of you very much!
