First Trip to the Dentist & Trunk-or-Treat

Wednesday Hannah went to the dentist for the first time. She climbed up in the chair & opened her mouth like a big girl. They were really good with her and she loved getting her teeth cleaned and eating the toothpaste. They let her wear the special glasses to keep the "magic flashlight" from getting in her eyes. She picked the monkey glasses and I thought that was appropriate! She also loved drinking the water and getting to spit in the bowl. I bet she spit in the bowl about 50 times. I hope she doesn't ever develop a fear of the dentist. Hopefully we can keep her from getting any cavities and then she won't have to worry about the scary part of going to see Dr. Shane.

Wednesday night after church, we had Trunk-or-Treat for the kids (and adults too). Hannah got to show off her Cinderella dress. I think she was proud of herself. She also loved Addi's Sharpae costume and she kept telling her "You are so beautiful, Addi!" All the kids looked adorable in the costumes. I will say Lila looked the cutest to me. She was Snow White. I could have just ate her up especially with her saying "I got candy!" over and over again! She is so adorable. We are going Trick-or-Treating a little bit tonight but Hannah got so much candy from the other night we aren't going many places. Just to see family & a few friends! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Video from the Pumpkin Patch

Here is the video I was too lazy to post yesterday.

I love how she picks the pumpkin and says "This is beautiful."

By the way, Avon order goes in tomorrow. So if you want to order something let me know by tonight or visit my website www.youravon/kcourington.com.

Pumpkin Patch & Kim's Birthday

Here are the pictures from the pumpkin patch. All three of us had a good time. Hannah rode the ponies and jumped in the big pumpkin. I have some video to post but right now am too lazy to do it.

This face is cracking me up! The sun was shining bright in her direction but she makes crazy faces like her daddy.

Today we went to the library for story time. Levi, Ian, & Maddie dressed up in their costumes. They were so cute. Then we went with Jennifer, Ian, & Maddie to McDonald's. The kids played for a good two hours. Then were all exhausted and Hannah was cranky so we knew it was time to go.

Today is also my sister-in-law Kim's 30th birthday! She is a great friend and I love her a lot. It has been kind of a crazy day but I hope she has a great one. She deserves it!

We are waiting on word from Mary. She had to have a liver biopsy this morning and we are waiting on news from it. The waiting is so hard but we are hopeful she will get good news. Please continue to pray for her.

Our weekend

Our anniversary was great. Josh came home from work with flowers and a card (we agreed on no gifts). He told me that Hannah was going to stay with Granna & Gramps and we were going out to eat! YAY! I have been wanting to eat at Macaroni Grill and told him last week. He remembered and that is where we went. After we stuffed ourselves until we were almost sick, we came back to Granna & Gramps house to watch the second half of the Auburn game. That was horrible! I am still optimistic that we will pull something together for these last few games. I think they have the potential but something is wrong with the execution. Not sure what it is but I hope they will fix it in time to beat Alabama. Hey, I am still hoping for a seventh win!

Earlier in the day, Hannah decided to pour out a WHOLE container of Carmex in her hands. It is the kind you squeeze out that looks like petroleum jelly. Yeah, her hands are still very soft from it. I had to wash her hands with dish soap to cut the grease. It worked a little bit but then she smelled like strawberry Carmex and grapefruit dish soap. GROSS! I think you can see how greasy her hands are in the picture. She was so proud of herself.

Friday night we went to the Oak Grove game. A girl from church is the assistant drum major and we went to watch her. We got to the game and realized that they were playing my alma mater, Corner. Wow, Oak Grove stomped them. I was bored but the bands were GREAT!

Saturday, we went to my Mamaw Wilson's 80th birthday party! She had a great turn out and I ate WAY too much. My niece, Emily came home with us and spent the night. We had a great time together. She always provides lots of entertainment when she is around and gets Hannah riled (sp?) up too. They kept me laughing! Well we are off to the pumpkin patch today so stayed tuned for pictures later.

Leading Singing

Here is a cute video of Hannah leading singing.

In case you couldn't understand her, she starts by singing "Gloryland Way" (or her version of it anyway) Then she sings a song that she made up apparently. Then it is on to "Jesus Loves Me" and she says "The End."

Today is our 4th anniversary! Happy Anniversary to the love of my life! You have made the past 4 years the best of my life. I love you and can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

We don't really have any plans. This is Josh's day to work later and the Auburn game is on tonight. I hope we can pull out a win but we will see. WAR EAGLE!

First Doctor's Visit

I FINALLY went to my first doctor's visit yesterday. I thought it would never get here. So I guess it is "official." I am 7 weeks pregnant and due June 8th. That seems like a long time but I know it will go by fast. So far everything is going great. Hopefully we will get to hear the heartbeat next time. I am still feeling good although I felt bad this morning when I woke up. I started the prescription prenatal vitamin and I think that is what made me feel bad. I will adjust to them in a week or two and will be fine.

Our gospel meeting has been going great. The preaching (what I have heard of it) has been wonderful. Hannah is tired of having to sit still for so long. She does not like to sit still or be quiet for long so it has been hard trying to keep her entertained. Last night we ended up just sitting in the nursery looking at books. I was tired of fighting her and we had been in and out of our seats 4 times. The last time I took her out because she was choking on water and I thought she might throw up everywhere. I know it is a learning process. Sometimes I think how many spankings do you have to get before you learn?! She really is a sweet baby. She is just two!

A Little Bit of This & That

It has been a whirlwind of a week. Just one week ago Mary had her transplant and now she is home. She is an AMAZING woman! We are so happy that she is home and hope that there aren't any set backs. We just have to keep her healthy through this winter.

I have had to stay away from her because I have had a cold. Having a cold while pregnant is NOT fun. Just because there is not much that you can take. I haven't taken anything because it is so early in the pregnancy. I am sure it is okay but I just don't want to take the chance! Besides the cold, I have been feeling GREAT! I get VERY tired by the end of the day. I feel like I have been beat when it comes to finally getting into bed but I know that will end soon. I haven't been sick except for last night. I made the mistake of making a roast and before we left for church I felt horrible. I guess just smelling it all day long got to me. I have been extremely hungry. I could eat everything in site! I don't remember being this hungry with Hannah. Plus I was sick for about two weeks with Hannah in the beginning. So maybe since this has been a little different that means it is a boy. I would like to have a little boy. However, if this is another girl I will be thrilled too.

Lila's birthday was Sunday. She was one year old. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is so sweet and makes me smile every time I see her. I love to hear her say "Taie." (which is Katie of course) I hope she had a very Happy Birthday!

Tuesday I took Hannah to the library for story time. It was all about fairy tales. She told the story of Princess and the Pea and Cinderella. Cinderella has become Hannah's favorite. She got it for her birthday and watches it everyday! She has three books about Cinderella and we read them everyday too. She is a princess kind of girl & will have a princess room soon. I have got to get this computer room cleaned out so we can make it into her bedroom. She fell out of her bed the other night because she was climbing out and fell. So I need to do it sooner than later but I really feel like she won't do it again. It scared her pretty bad and she keeps talking about it. Maybe she learned her lesson!

We are getting ready for our Gospel Meeting coming up this Sunday - Wednesday. Kerry Richardson is going to be the speaker and you are invited to come and visit with us. We would love to have you!

Well this has been very random and if you are still reading I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Update on Mary & Pumpkin Painting

Mary is doing GREAT! I want to say THANK YOU so much for your prayers. Our God is so good to us. Now please tell Him thank you and pray for a speedy recovery. We saw her last night and she was doing really well. They were going to move her to a room but I haven't heard the official word on if they did or not.

Yesterday I kept Levi & Lila so Kim could go with Addi on her first field trip. Jennifer brought Ian & Maddie over and we let them paint pumpkins. They had a great time. The boys and Hannah (she is one of the boys!) ended up mixing the paint together to make this greenish-gray color. They were originally going to be bats (that is the reason they don't have mouths) but we decided just to give them all the colors and let them go. Hannah ended up with paint from her head to her toes but she had a great time. I am going to have to let her paint more often. She was so proud of her little pumpkin.

Maddie taking her time. Her pumpkin was the prettiest.

Levi & Ian

Hannah starting on her pumpkin.

Now she has the paint all over her including her face! :)

This makes me smile!

Update

It is 4:45 pm and they still have not taken Mary back to surgery. The waiting is hard on everyone. They should be taking her back to surgery as I type but you never know. Please remember her in your prayers tonight. The surgery will be 6-8 hours long. I will try to post an update after the surgery as soon as I know something.

PRAYERS...

Many of you know that Josh's aunt Mary has been on the liver transplant list for a while now. Well she just called me and said they have a liver ready for her. She has to be there at 4:00 and the surgery will be in the morning!!!! I am excited & nervous. Please, please keep her in your prayers! She is so special to all of us. Put her on your prayer lists at church, please!

"You gotta read Hannah's shirt"

This is what everyone was saying last night at church, especially by Addi. Here is a picture of the shirt. Now you can see why everyone was so excited.

This is how Hannah really feels about being a big sister!

Yes you read it right. We are expecting baby #2 around June 8th. I haven't officially been to the doctor but three pregnancy tests on three different days are pretty good odds! I go to the doctor on the 21st for the official confirmation. Some of you may think I am crazy for telling so soon (I am only 4 or 5 weeks pregnant) but I am just so excited. It is not news I can hold in! I am feeling great - not sick at all. Well this morning I gagged while brushing my teeth but I can handle that. I have been TIRED but can't sleep.

Hannah has no idea what is really going on. I am not going to say too much to her yet because it is so far away. Last night I told her there was a baby growing in my tummy and she looked at me like I was crazy. I showed her the pictures from when I was pregnant with her and I got a blank stare. So I have decided just to wait until I start to show.

Anyway, I am sure most of you want to know if it was planned (that is the most asked question I have encountered both times). Yes, it was planned. Although I was really shocked when I looked down and saw "pregnant" across the test. Only because I had taken several tests before it really could show up that I was. I figured this would be the same but it wasn't! YEAH!!!! Did I say that I was excited? I LOVED being pregnant with Hannah and I am going to enjoy every minute of this pregnancy! This will be the 5th grandchild on both sides of the family. All of our family is excited too.

I went to the Kids Market consignment sale on Saturday and got some GREAT stuff. I bought a double stroller in excellent condition for $15. I got a lot of stuff and am probably going back on 1/2 off day! I will have my eye out for two items on that day. Some of the maternity clothes were overpriced so I am going to see what I can find when they are 1/2 off. I think I am going to need some long sleeved stuff. I am pretty sure most of my stuff is short sleeved. I need to go through my clothes and see what I have. Well I hope everyone has a great week. I know I will be smiling ear to ear all week!

A Day at the Park

Yesterday I met Kim & Jennifer at the park so all the kids could play. They had a great time together and the weather was WONDERFUL. Here are some pictures from the day...
