Doctor's Visit

I went for my first visit to the doctor today and so far everything is looking good. I am 7 weeks pregnant and due October 11th. Even though I asked, Dr. Snowden decided that I didn't need to have an ultrasound right away. She said that she would check my progesterone levels and if they were low then I would have to have an ultrasound to check the baby out. So I am waiting on the call with the results, which could take a few days. I am hoping they are normal and that everything is going to be okay. We still need lots of prayers throughout this whole pregnancy but especially the next 5 weeks. I am feeling much better after going to the doctor.

I have not had any morning sickness but afternoon and night sickness. I would rather have morning sickness! Also I am extremely tired. Every afternoon around 2:00 I am ready to crash! Hannah doesn't think that my napping is necessary so she usually keeps me from getting to sleep. I think she thinks if I sleep then she will have to also. She no longer takes a nap and I miss them!!

Anyway everything seems to be normal and I am excited about having a normal pregnancy! We are just anxiously waiting for 12 weeks when it seems we can breath a sigh of relief. Thanks to everyone for all the kind comments and prayers. We appreciate them so much! God has truly blessed us.

Does this cake belong on the cake wreck blog?

Friday night we had our whole family over (except Kyle & Jan, who were out of town) for dinner. This is the cake we ate for dessert...

This cake is struggling just a bit. The lady did a terrible job writing on it but it got the message across! I am 6 weeks pregnant! I was a little apprehensive about putting this on the internet so fast. I wanted to wait until I told all the people I wanted to tell in person first before I posted anything on my blog. Then I also am just flat out scared and nervous. Everyone says don't be but that is impossible. I haven't been to the doctor yet. I had an appointment on Wednesday morning but Hannah threw up when she woke up so I decided I shouldn't go. I didn't want to get Jennifer's kids sick, I didn't get in touch with Amy in time, and I wasn't ready to tell anyone else yet. So I had to cancel my appt. I have a new appt for next Tuesday and I am anxious to go. I am hoping I will have an ultrasound and the first thing I see will be this sweet baby's little heartbeat! From what I have read once the heart starts beating the chances of a miscarriage diminish greatly! Really I only have like a 5% chance of it happening again anyway. I am being optimistic but it still doesn't ease the tension of analyzing every little thing. "Why am I not feeling sick right now?" "What is that little pain I feel?" "Should I be feeling this way or not?" I know it is crazy but those are the things going through my head. I am just leaning on God right now and knowing that He knows best. I am also really excited to be nauseous! LOL! That is the FIRST time I have ever said that. I know that if I feel that way that things should be okay. I decided I would go ahead and put this out there because I AM SO EXCITED!!!! I tried not to be at first, but I am! How can I not be?! What a blessing! The other reason is because I need your prayers for this little one. Pray, pray, pray for us, please. I know things are going to be okay but sometimes it is hard to stop the worrying. I am trying my best though!

This is me yesterday at 6 weeks - not really showing yet (thank goodness) but still carrying a little baggage from Hannah. LOL! I am due October 11!

We had a great Valentine's Day spent with our little family of 4. :) We first went to the laundromat to clean our bedspread (that is where Hannah happened to be when she got sick.) While that was washing we went to Jack's to eat breakfast. Then we went to Billy's shop so Josh could get a haircut. Then it was off to Office Deals. We ate lunch at Petrucceli's. It was so good. Hannah enjoyed eating her HUGE roll! She thought it was funny and loved that I wanted to take pictures of her eating it. After we ate lunch, we ran by Walmart for milk and bread. Then home for an evening of relaxing (don't tell Josh I said that - he HATES the word relax). I cooked dinner and we ate by candlelight. Hannah didn't understand the candles and spent the whole time trying to blow them out! It was so funny. What a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Hannah's First Haircut

Today Hannah & I made a trip to Billy's shop for Hannah's first haircut! It was long overdue but I couldn't stand the thought of her looking like a little girl and not a baby anymore. Hannah calls it getting her hair cuck instead of a haircut. We went to Walmart afterwards and she said "Biwwy put my hair in a bag and I want it back on my head!" It look so much better. Thanks, Billy!

Before - looking very stringy (just like her mommy)

After - looking 100 times better!

So happy to be at Billy's shop...

Billy & Hannah!

Sitting like a big girl (made me want to cry)...

The Circus & Lectureship

The above picture of Hannah is how we have been feeling lately - tired. We have been so busy. One day last week I brought all of our stuff in the house and when I went in the living room, I found Hannah asleep like this on the chair. Poor baby! She was so tired. We spent all of last week shopping for and making Valentine baskets. (see previous post - they are perfect for your Valentine - it is not too late to order one!) Then on Saturday we went to the circus with my mom & nephew Clay. We had a blast. Hannah loved it, especially the elephants. She got mad when they were done with their show. Clay thought it was cool. Although when they cut a man in half, he was a little worried. :0) Mom reassured him that it was just a trick. Hannah got a little stuffed elephant and she has been attached to it since then. It has gone everywhere with us. She has never been attached to anything but I guess she found something she loved!

Sunday afternoon we made the trip to Freed Hardeman for the lectureship. I enjoyed it so much and loved all the lessons I got to hear. Hannah went with us to all of the lectures on Monday but Tuesday she went to day care for the first time. She loved it and basically pushed me out the door! I heard several GREAT lessons on Tuesday and I feel a little more encouraged than when I left! We came back Tuesday night and spent yesterday lounging around the house. Hannah was tired she took a 3 hour nap. I didn't get anything accomplished but I feel very rested today! :0) Anyway it is back to making Valentine baskets today. I hope everyone has a great day. One more day to Friday!
