Update

Sorry this is late. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and everything is still looking great. I hadn't made any more progress but she is head down which means no c-section! Well that is if everything goes good with the labor process. I am praying that it all goes well and ask you to pray as well. We are just playing the waiting game, which is fun and torture all at the same time. I am still feeling good but have definitely slowed down a little bit. I have good intentions of getting everything ready but then I just feel like I need a nap! :0) So everything may not be 100% done when she gets here but the important things are completed and ready to go.

Here are some funny things Hannah has been saying lately...

* She loves to read books. The other day she asked me to read a book to her but I told her to wait and she replied "But mommy I don't know the magic words!" This means I don't know how to read!

* She has been very aware of people lately and loves to point out faults & embarrass me to death! The other day we were in Publix, a man was stocking the shelf. He was bald and has a fat roll on the back of his neck. Hannah asks (very loudly) "Hey, why do you have a crack in your head?" I pushed the shopping cart as fast as I could out of there hoping he wouldn't notice she was talking to him!

* Last night we went to Mark & Shana's house to watch the Auburn game. We ate hamburgers (which Hannah just ate the meat). Apparently she has some stuck in her teeth and she was picking it. Sandra (Mark's mom) asked her what she had in her mouth and she said "a taco."

* A few minutes ago we were in Jaiden's room hanging ladybugs on the wall. Hannah's Gus-Gus (the mouse from Cinderella) was in there. I told her I found him and she said "He doesn't live in here!" I wonder how she is going to feel when Jaiden can play with her stuff. I may be in for it! :0)

I know that I have forgotten some things I wanted to post on here but that is the memory of a very pregnant lady! I am lucky to remember my name these days!

Look, mom I can dress myself...

Hannah has become very independent and wants to dress herself lately. She does a great job getting her clothes on and I am excited because this will help me out so much when Jaiden gets here. The only problem is that this is what she looks like if she chooses what she is going to wear...

She hasn't figured out how to match her clothes and she will just wear any shoes she wants. She has even tried to leave the house with her Cinderella "swippers" as she calls them, which translated is slippers. I usually give her a choice of two things to wear. If she requests something else and it is appropriate (like another dress for church & not shorts) then she can wear it but I am NOT a negotiator (not with a three year old). So what I pick she has to wear but I usually just try to convince her it is her idea. We normally don't have any problems. Luckily this day we were just going to church to work on Ladies Day so she got to wear this. She was so proud (and so adorable, I might add)!

Wednesday I went for my doctor's appointment. Jaiden's heart rate was 148 and I am measuring 36 weeks, 3 days exactly. I have made some progress but won't post all the details just know that we are slowly on our way to Jaiden making her big debut! I am only 3 weeks away from my due date! Of course, it could be any day now and I am considered full term now since I am 37 weeks along. So that is great! Everything in her nursery is done except the things I have bought to hang on her walls. I ordered a wall decal to go over her bed last week so it should be in this week. I am hoping it comes in soon. I will post pics ASAP! In the meantime, here is a pic of me at 37 weeks taken this morning! WOW! It's no wonder people think I am going to go into labor at anytime!

Thursday night I went to the Kids Market and got some GREAT stuff! I spent $122 for 32 items so that equals out to about $3.80 for each item. I am so proud of all of the cute stuff I bought. Amy, mom, & I had fun shopping. We were there for 4 hours!

Saturday was our Ladies Day and it was a great day! If you missed it, you really missed a treat. Cherry Chesser was our speaker and she did an excellent job. We worked until midnight (some later - I was tired and went home first)on Friday night getting the food & decorations ready. It all looked so cute & the food was great. I think we had about 65 in attendance. I enjoyed it so much & look forward to next year.

We went to watch the Auburn game last night at David & Susan's. It was a GREAT game! I almost went into labor a few times from the excitement but luckily Jaiden held on & so did Auburn. They pulled out a W and I was happy but very ready for bed! We were all asleep within 10 minutes of getting home!

This week we will be going to the library and I have another doctor's visit. I am ready to see if I have made any more progress. I will update ASAP! Hope you all have a great week! Enjoy this picture Josh took of our little prissy tom-boy this morning. Looking at this sweet face makes my week!

It seems that I am always talking about how busy we have been but it is true! Last Friday night (the 4th) we went to Sandusky Church of Christ for their singing! The singing & fellowship was great. I think there were about 100 people there and we sang for 2 1/2 hours. Hannah slept through most of it because we had been to the park earlier that day with Kim, Jennifer, and kids. So I enjoyed the singing even more because I wasn't having to keep my eye on her!

Saturday started college football season! We went to David & Susan's house to watch the Auburn game. We won and I saw a lot of promise for this year! I get so excited, although David ordered me not to get too excited because we aren't really ready for Jaiden's arrival! LOL! All was fine and we got to cheer them to victory.

Sunday was Josh's birthday. We had a strawberry cake (yummy, mouth-watering good cake) from Edgar's the night before at David & Susan's. I am bad and did not take one picture but Susan took a few. Sunday I made pancakes for breakfast. Breakfast usually consists of cereal, oatmeal, or an occasional scrambled egg so pancakes were a treat. We went to church and then home for Chicken Casserole (Josh's favorite). Then we spent the afternoon at Academy (another favorite). Hannah made Josh a card and we bought him some new dress pants. Sunday night we went to eat at Zaxby's. Then we crashed at home. We were all so tired from the weekend. I hope Josh had a great birthday. He deserves the best. He is the true definition of a Christian husband and father and I am so thankful that he chose me to be his wife. He works hard for our family and we love him more than he will ever know!

Tuesday I went to my doctor's appointment. We are again right on schedule - measuring correctly & Jaiden's heartbeat was great (she forgot to tell me the rate and I forgot to ask). I had gained more weight which is probably why no one thinks I am going to make it to her due date but I think I am. Everyone keeps telling me I look like I have dropped but she still kicks me high. I will be 36 weeks tomorrow and am now going to the doctor every week now! We should know at my next visit if she is head down. I am praying that she has already turned. If not, it is unlikely that she will turn and I don't like that outcome. I really want to deliver her and not have a c-section but we will do what is best for her!

After my appointment, we went to the library for story-time. Hannah did a lot better than she did a few months. She didn't sit still the whole time but she was quiet so that is a start. After the library we went to McDonald's to let the kids play!

Wednesday & Thursday Hannah & I spent the day playing, cleaning, and hanging out at home.

Friday Josh got home early and didn't get to cut grass because of the rain. So I put Hannah down for a nap (yes she took a much needed nap) and went to Publix & Hill's for groceries all by myself. I love having Hannah with me but it is so much easier to go by myself! I saved $60 at Publix and got some good deals at Hill's too.

Last night we ate at Milo's then went to the Baron's playoff game. Mom won tickets at work and she gave them to us. We had a great time. Hannah took her Auburn pom-pom and repeatedly yelled out "War Eagle!" She had the people around us tickled! The Barons lost 8-1 but we still had a lot of fun! We stayed for the fireworks show. Hannah loved it. Before they started I told her that they were going to be loud and not to be afraid. So during the show she kept asking "are you afraid, mommy?" I told her no but Jaiden must have been because she was curled up so tight it was uncomfortable! (Who says babies are not babies until they are born? I think she definitely heard the noise and responded to it but that is another subject for another time) We didn't get home until 11:30 so Hannah crashed and slept until after 9:00 this morning. Here are some pics I took at the ball game...

We are looking forward to Auburn's game tonight and then a week of getting ready for our Ladies Day. Ladies Day is Saturday, Sept 19th at 9:00. If you are a lady, please join us! Cherry Chesser is going to be our speaker and I know you will leave uplifted and encouraged!! Of course we also have my doctor's appointment and the Kid's Market is Thursday night!

Walking To Remember

On November 7th there will be a walk to raise money for the Alzheimer's of Central Alabama. It will be inside the Riverchase Galleria at 8:00 am. I am getting a team together to walk and raise money for this organization. The money will be used for families who are caring for Alzheimer's patients - they help pay for diapers etc for those caring at home & nursing home costs for those in a nursing home.

If you are interested in being on our team to walk please leave me a comment. There is not a registration fee but we all need to try to get our friends and families to donate for this organization. If you do not want to walk but want to donate please let me know. We will take all the donations we can get! Anything you can give would be great!

Last thing, I need a name for our team! Any suggestions would be great. Please don't make any jokes about it. I like a good joke but this is something serious to me. Both of our families have been affected by this disease. My great-grandmother & grandfather had it when they were living and Josh's grandfather is dealing with it now.

Think about it and let me know. You can leave a comment here or email my facebook. I am excited and hope you will consider walking and donating!
