Last Thursday Amy & I took Emily, Clay, & Hannah to Chuck E. Cheese's. They had a great time. They had a Barney ride and Hannah wanted to ride it. I put her on it, put the token in, and as soon as it came on she began to scream & shake. She was scared to death of it. She would not ride any of the rides but she played basketball and played on the slide. They were all smiles when we left!
Friday morning I went to Hobby Lobby because their scrapbook stickers were 50% off. Hannah was running around the shopping cart and playing on the bottom of it. We were the only ones on the aisle so I was letting her run around me. Then she started screaming bloody murder!! I mean SCREAMING! I look down and she crawled on the bottom of the shopping cart and her leg was stuck in the slats on the bottom. I couldn't figure out to get her out and a crowd was gathering around to watch me. I was very frustrated and felt bad for Hannah because she was screaming and I know it hurt. I finally calmed both of us down and got her leg free. Don't you just love people to stare at you and not help?! I have learned that as a parent you have to get used to the idea of people staring at you thinking you are a terrible parent. If you spank your child in the store, some stare in disgust. If you don't spank them and they are acting up you get the same stare. I am sure the people standing around me were saying "why did that lady let her kid crawl under the shopping cart?" Oh well, she is fine except for a fading bruise!
Friday night, we went to Decatur for my papaw Shadix's 85th birthday! He shares the same birthday with my brother, Adam. My cousin, Shannon was born 2 days after Adam. So we celebrated each birthday with an Auburn cake! Shannon flew in from New York & my uncle was here from Idaho. We had a really good time seeing everyone and being with our family! This is the only picture I took all night. It is of the birthday boys and girl!
We have big plans for the 4th & then we leave for a family vacation at the beach! Stayed tuned for pictures!!
