Hannah's Mommy: July 2010

Where does the time go???!! We have been having lots of fun this summer and I have been horrible about keeping up with my blog. That isn't good because I also haven't been keeping up with Jaiden's baby book or scrapbooks! It is sad to be the 2nd child! :) I will get caught up and still remember a few things (maybe)! It helps that my camera "remembers" when I take the pictures. One thing we have been doing this summer is going to the splash pad. Hannah loves to go & Jaiden is beginning to love it too. They also like to play at the park. Jaiden enjoys swinging! Here are some pictures of my girls swinging...

Since I last posted, Hannah had her tonsils removed and she did GREAT! I am constantly amazed by her independence and confidence. I pray that she keeps both of them throughout her lifetime! We had to be at the doctor's office around 8:00 and they took her back around 10:00 for the surgery. We walked her to the doors and then she took the nurse's hand and never looked back! When I was that age someone would have had to pry my hands from my mom but not Hannah. She seems to love an "adventure." She was brought back into the room about 30 minutes later. She didn't want to leave the hospital or take off the gown. I am not sure why she didn't want to leave but we finally bribed her with a new movie. Josh had to go back to work so I took her home. It was sad to see her in pain and she was still a little doped up. Thankfully she never got sick. Mom & Amy were waiting on us (with Jaiden) at home. We were home by 1:00. She ate macaroni & cheese, Jell-O, & a Popsicle. I think she just wanted to try out all of the foods we had bought for her to eat! :0) She even got to sleep with Josh & I which is a treat for her because we never let her sleep with us. The next few weeks she took it easy and she missed her last gymnastics class. :( However we will probably enroll her again in the fall. (The summer classes were on Monday and Monday is a hard day for both of my babies)

In the last two months Jaiden has grown & learned so much! She has gone from army crawling to lunging herself forward to crawling all over the house!!

This was on May 16th. She was half way pulling herself up!

On May 24th I sat her in the high chair with some puffs. It took her a little bit but she got the hang of it! Only 1 in 3 go in her mouth but it gives me some time to load the dishwasher or get dinner ready without a huge fuss or her hanging on my leg!

Besides eating her favorite thing to do is chew the strap of her seat! So funny (& a little messy sometimes)!
