I don't have anything too interesting to blog about today. The last few weeks have been busy. We went to two nights of VBS at Sixth Avenue Church of Christ. Hannah had a good time. She went to class all by herself like a big girl. She loves to bring out the things she made to show us. She will say, "wook mommy, I made that." She is so proud of herself.
Josh was at camp last week. On Friday (the 13th) Hannah began to run a high fever. I took her to the doctor Saturday and he said it was a virus. She ran between 103-104 until Tuesday morning. She was not a happy camper. I sat in the recliner and on the couch for 5 days holding her. Josh wasn't here and I was about to loose my mind. She did not feel good at all. She is much better and we visited camp Wednesday & Thursday. She loved being at camp. She thought she was as big as the other kids there.
This week we have been going to VBS at Adamsville Church of Christ. Hannah has been having fun and has gone to class like a big girl. I am glad that she is not scared to go by herself. She will be two in two months. I can't believe it! She is finally letting me fix her hair a little bit. She has been letting me put ponytails in it. They are really cute. I need practice with other things - like braiding and stuff like that. I don't think she will let me practice on her though. I guess in time I will learn all of that.
We are still trying to potty train. She asks to go to the bathroom. She sits on the potty, then wants to get up, I put her diaper on, and she goes in her diaper. So she is starting to learn that she has to go. Although yesterday she pooped in the bathtub. Not much has made me gag since I have had Hannah but this one got to me. She was running around the house, soaking wet, yelling "Josh (yes she calls him Josh) come here I pooped in the tahbub (bathtub)!" What am I going to do with this child?!

The jest of it ~ This idea came from the book by Larry Smith and Rachel Fershleiser called Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure. The book is a compilation that is based on the story that Hemingway once bet ten dollars that he could sum up his entire life in just six words. His words? For Sale: baby shoes, never worn.
Here are the rules:
1. Write your own six word memoir.
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere.
4. Tag five more blogs with links.
5. And don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!
My six words: Be an encouragement to all people!
Sometimes it is hard to be an encourager. I think we all hear how we are to correct and rebuke people who are not doing what God wants them to do. Sometimes we think that means that we have a right to "tell someone off" for not doing right. I know that there is a time and place for correction but it should be done in love and not with the attitude of "I am going to tell you!" We are all sinners and sometimes people just need a little encouragement. We all need to know that we have people who are there for us - to listen, to pray, to hug, to smile, to take our mind off of things. We especially need that when we are tempted to sin or going through a hard time. I think discouragement is the main reason that people turn their backs on God. It is our responsibility to make sure that our brothers and sisters in Christ are encouraged. How would you feel if you were already in a vulnerable state and a fellow Christian came up to you and rubbed salt in the wound by the things they say? Don't kick someone when they are down. Lift them up and show them a better way. It is our responsibility to correct but we should do it with love and the understanding that we are sinners too. Christ said "he who is without sin cast the first stone." He wasn't telling the woman that she was right but he wanted to let those men that were so eager to stone her know that they had made mistakes too. I pray (because it is something I need to work on too) that on judgement day God can point out the people that I helped get to Heaven by encouraging them to stay faithful! I can think of several Christians that have & still do encourage me to do the right thing. I need it everyday!

More VBS & a visit with the Gray's
I tried to upload video but it was taking too long. You all will just have to use your imaginations! :0) Anyway, VBS is over. It was a lot of fun but I am glad it is over. Here are the rest of the pictures.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
The kids in my class playing with their craft
Ned with Jousting Joey
THURSDAY NIGHT
Ned & his dad (the two idiots)
Friday I went to see Brandi, Jason, & Micah. I spent the whole time holding Micah. He is such a sweet baby. I had a good time just talking to Brandi and getting a chance to meet Micah. A big thank you to Paul & Kim for keeping Hannah. She spent the night with them and didn't go to sleep until 1:00 (sorry Kim!). They kept her until Josh got off work Friday. I haven't been in the car by myself in a while and it was nice. I drove almost two hours there and two hours back in peace! It was a nice break and I was excited to see the Gray family! I can't wait to get to see him again. Maybe Hannah can come next time and meet her new husband! Just kidding! Brandi & I always said we would make our kids be friends or if they were the opposite sex we would force them to be married. Anyway I had fun and can't wait to see how much Micah has grown the next time I see him! Here are a few pictures. Isn't he adorable?!

Blogging By Bullets
So much has happened since my last post, I will have to blog by bullets. Here goes...
* Hannah did have an ear infection. She has finished her antibiotic but I am not sure it is cleared up. She goes back Thursday for the ear re-check.
* We spent Memorial Day at David & Susan's house. We ate, swam, & watched John & Kate, Plus 8. Go to David's blog to check out what Levi & Hannah did for Memorial Day.
* Tuesday Josh went to the doctor and had strep throat.
* Brandi had Micah on Thursday. I am dying to see him and her too! I am going to visit this week & can't wait!!
* Friday morning around 3:30 Josh woke me up in excruciating pain. We called David to ask him to take him to the ER, because we didn't want to get Hannah up to go. He had a kidney stone. He is a lot better but I felt really bad for him.
* Saturday we went to sweet little Bayley's 1st birthday party. She was adorable! Her birthday is today. HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, BAYLEY! Saturday night we also went to Clay (Custred's) birthday party. I didn't stay long because Hannah was tired!
* Sunday we had a fellowship meal/party for David & Susan. They have been at Sylvan Springs for 30 years. We had a lot of fun & they were surprised!
* Sunday night started VBS. I am teaching the 4, 5, & 6 year old. We are having a lot of fun. Ned is also back (see my archive posts from the last VBS for details) I will post pictures & video soon.
* Hannah put on a show Sunday night. David was leading a song and Hannah wanted to go to him. I told her no, but he held out his hands. So she took off with her shoes in her hand. When she got to him, she gave him her shoes! This made us laugh. She ran back to Addi and the next thing I know she ran to him again with Addi's shoes. David is now standing in front of the church with two pairs of shoes in his hand leading a VBS song. It was hilarious!! Then Hannah stood right up front and danced to all of the songs. I have some video but will have to borrow high speed internet to post!
* Yesterday Hannah & I made a trip to the zoo. She LOVES the zoo. She was so cute looking at all the animals. Pictures soon.
* You are all invited to our Vacation Bible School. We are having a lot of fun & learning a lot too. It starts at 7:00pm. Hope to see you there.
