Have you ever been really busy? Then when you sit to write about it, you can't really think of what you have been doing - you just know you were doing something. That is how I am feeling today. It has been two weeks since I blogged and I can't remember what all we have been doing.
Hannah has developed quite the imagination lately. She likes to tell stories about Prince Lamond and a witch that locked him in a tower. She tells people that she has a dog (which we do not) and will make up a name for it. She usually says "Zoe" (Ben & Rachel's dog) or "Molly" (Paul & Kim's). She talks to Linda (her imaginary friend) a lot and is really starting to play using her imagination. She likes to play "cash register", which she calls "cash master." I like that she uses her imagination and doesn't just rely on tv and things like that to keep her entertained.
We have been to the splash pad at a local park a few times in the last few weeks. Hannah LOVES going. She likes water and she likes people. She always makes a new friend when we go. I also signed her up to bowl for free this summer. The bowling alley has a program for kids to bowl two free games Mon-Fri in the summer. (Thank you Christy for letting me know about this!). You can go to kidsbowlfree.com and check it out. We went for the first time last week with Amy, Emily, & Clay. Hannah had a blast. She was actually pretty good and scored a 69 with the bumpers up, of course. She would throw the ball, it would go at turtle speed, and then she would bend down like she was waiting on a softball to be hit to her and watch it. I thought it was so cute! She told me this morning she wanted to go back so I may take her sometime this week.
We had our first youth devotional of the summer. It was at David & Susan's house. The girls came early to swim. Hannah is quite the little swimmer. She has no fear and swam all over the pool with the help of a floatie vest. She didn't want me to help her but was okay with me being close by.
In pregnancy world, not much has changed. She (still doesn't have a name) is kicking harder and harder lately. I am actually starting to feel elbows, knees, etc. roll around in there. Josh finally got to feel her but she shys away when he touches my stomach. He must have a calming effect on her. I am carrying her so low and my back & hips have been aching and sore. Other than that, I have been feeling great! The heat is a little much but I just need to get used to that. (We had a yard sale on Sat. and I was pretty swollen when I got home.)
Hannah was talking to a lady in Publix yesterday and she says "My mommy's belly is really big! She has a baby in there." She also tells me all the time that she has a sister in her belly. Two weeks ago I took her to see her doctor because she spiked a 103 fever. She laid on the table at the doctor's office and said "is he going to look at my sister in my belly?" I just tell her that she has to be married before she can have a baby in her belly. Then yesterday she came in the living room looking like this....
LOL!

Last week was our VBS. Everything went well. All of the kids behaved wonderfully and hopefully learned a lot too. Josh & I taught the story "Fishers of Men" from Luke 5. Ned made his return and the kids (and adults) loved him. Hannah thought he was hilarious. Enjoy the pictures from our week...
This is our classroom. Josh was Simon Peter and told the story.

Josh & I spent the weekend cleaning out rooms, painting Hannah's room, and sorting through what was junk and what needed to be kept. Our house is still in disarray but I am getting it back together one room at a time. Hannah's room is painted and she is enjoying it. We are just waiting on her new furniture to come in. I am hopeful it will come at the end of this week. Josh got the crib back up and the baby's room has all the furniture in it. So we are making progress.
This week has been bittersweet for me. We have been getting ready for this sweet baby girl but Monday would have been my due date for our sweet angel in Heaven. I miss that baby & would love to be coming home from the hospital with him. Then I feel guilty because in some ways I feel like I should just be thankful for this sweet baby. Of course I am thankful for our baby - both of them. I know God knows what is best so I just have to be happy that October should bring another child into our home & we will get to meet our other one in Heaven one day!
Speaking of baby girl, she still doesn't have a name. We have been so busy with the house that we haven't really sat down to talk about it. We have several names that we like but haven't officially named her. We will let you know when we do. She is also getting stronger and Josh was able to feel her kicking the other morning. I don't feel her much during the day but she is feisty at night. I hope she learns fast that nighttime is for sleeping! Hannah was laying her head on my stomach this morning and the baby kicked her in the head. I asked Hannah if she felt her kicking. She said "that was not nice!" I guess the fighting has already begun! :) Hannah was fine once I explained that she was just moving around and not really kicking her.
I sometimes forget what all of this must be like through her eyes. She got a balloon from Sonic the other night and yesterday she put it up to her belly and said "I have a pumpkin belly like you mommy!" So cute! I wonder what she will be thinking when October rolls around & my belly really will look like a giant pumpkin!

Build-A-Bear
Last Tuesday (the 26th) Amy & I took Emily & Hannah to Build-a-Bear. I promised Hannah if she would start using the potty she could go for her prize. She has been in big girl panties for about 2 weeks now and she has only had a few accidents since then. I am so proud of her! Emily got to go because her 10th birthday was Monday. I know, 10th!!?? I can't believe she has been here 10 years. I was in college when she was born!
Anyway my child picked out the ugliest bear they had. She loved the panda and I couldn't get her to change her mind. I tried to talk her into a cute little lamb or the pink bear but it was the ugly panda bear that she wanted. She did pick out a cute little princess shirt and she didn't want anything else. I asked her if she wanted to put panties on her since that is the reason she got to come but she was content with just the shirt. That was fine with me because it was cheaper. :0) She loved going and loves her little (ugly) bear. I am just glad that she is potty trained!!!!!
