Girl's Night, Decoration, Doctor's Visit & the Dentist
Well once again this has been a very busy weekend! Friday night we had a much needed girl's night out. We went to Sumo to eat. I stuffed myself until I was miserable! We had so much fun! Our cook was a little strange but it made the night more interesting. After we ate, we went to shop around at Ross and then went to the dollar movie to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. Surprisingly it was a good movie.
Our cook who liked to say "Getter done" (not sure why?!)
Pam, Katie, Kim, & Rachel
Meredith, Jazz, & Sydney
Pam, Jennifer, & Me
Pam's first attempt to catch a shrimp - missed.
Got it the second time but she hates shrimp!
Sunday I took a pic of Maddie & Hannah sitting on the new little bench outside of church. Aren't they sweet?
The below picture is true to their personalities. Maddie is the sweet princess and Hannah is a wild little monkey (as I like to call her)!
Sunday after church we went to my aunt & uncle's house to eat lunch. It was decoration where my grandfather is buried. We didn't go to the cemetery because it was pouring down rain.
Monday I had a doctor's appointment. Everything is going great and I was relieved to hear the heartbeat again. The baby is a little stubborn because the nurse was running the doppler over my stomach and I couldn't hear the heartbeat. I was about to have a meltdown. She finally tells me she can detect the heartbeat on the doppler but can't hear it. She says he/she must be moving around a lot. It was beating 176 times a minute. He/she finally stopped moving and then we could hear it. I am measuring right at 17 weeks. I have been feeling the baby move for about a week now. I haven't felt any strong kicks yet, just the little flutters. I feel so much better after yesterday's appointment and can't wait for 3 1/2 weeks to pass so I can finally see my little one!
Today Hannah & I had a dentist appointment. Hannah was great. She wanted to go first and talked the hygienist's ear off. She has a little scratch on her face and the hygienist asked her about it. She told her that I got mad at her for not cleaning the living room. My mouth dropped open and I was so embarrassed. Then later as I was getting my teeth cleaned Hannah told her that I call her boobie sometimes! I could not control my laughter. I don't think the lady believed either story but I am sure I turned three shades of red. What will come out of her mouth next?

Last Friday night we went to the Walkfest to support Indian Creek Youth Camp. Hannah slid on the big slide, jumped in the bouncy house, and rode all of the rides. They had one ride that spun around in circles and then you could turn the wheel in your car and it would spin you around. I thought she would be too scared to ride it but she rode several times with Brianna and once with Emily. She is not like her mommy because I would have been too chicken to ride. She had a nice dinner of a snow cone and popcorn. I know, terrible mother but one night won't hurt! We all had a lot of fun & I hope the camp raised a lot of money.
Saturday morning I was up bright and early. I went with Susan & Kim to the Bargain Carousel. It is a huge yard sale supported by the Jr. League of Birmingham. I found Hannah a Little Tykes play house for $35! Go me! I need to take a picture of it and post it on here. Stay tuned for that. We found a lot of stuff for the baby. I mainly bought boy stuff but found some cute girl things too. Once we left the yard sale, we went to I-Hop to eat and then did a little more shopping. It was a long day but a good one.
Sunday morning Hannah was terrible in church so I made her take a nap! It worked out for me because I took one too. It has been a while since I have had a good nap.
Monday Amy & I went to Publix and Aldi. I have been visiting the Frugal Coupon Living blog (you can find her link on the side of my blog). She has great links for deals and coupons. I saved $20 in coupons at Publix. I love shopping at Publix. They are always nice and accommodating. They don't act like you are trying to cheat them out of something or trying to get something for nothing by using your coupons. (I have had a problem with Walmart employees always acting like I am trying to pull one over on them when I bring in an ad or an internet coupon!) Hannah loves their shopping carts and usually doesn't fuss to get out. They are a pain to push but worth it once you get the hang of it. They also give away free cookies to kids who come by their bakery. So we always swing by for a sprinkle or chocolate chip cookie! They will even give one to the adults if you want one! It is just an all around better shopping experience. Aldi had their gallon of milk for $1.49 this week! Can't beat that deal. I bought 4 gallons.
Tuesday we went to the library for story time. Then we went to McDonald's to let the kids play.
I have also been planting flowers this week. It is taken me a long time and I still have some to plant. I am slowly but surely getting them in the ground. Hannah has enjoyed being outside and helping me dig.
Hannah also has had zero interest in potty training until yesterday. I mentioned that she had a little potty and she wanted me to bring it back out. I put it up several months ago because she never sat on it and always wanted to use the big potty. Now she wants to use the little potty and has been going in it since yesterday. She keeps saying "Thank you for my very own little potty!" She wore a diaper for a few hours but when she has had on panties she hasn't had any accidents! YAY!!! If only she will keep this up & not regress when the baby gets here. Keep your fingers crossed!
