The Dark Knight & Auburn Football

Hannah went to spend the night with Paul, Kim, Addi, Levi, & Lila last night. She just hopped in the van and said "Bye mommy!" She loves being with her cousins. When they came to pick her up she was asleep. As soon as I woke her up, she saw Kim and said "Where's Levi?" I know she is having fun. I just hope Paul & Kim are too.

Since Hannah was gone for the night, I decided to take Josh to see The Dark Knight. (His birthday is next Saturday) We both really enjoyed the movie. There were some things that irritated me - Batman's voice and the Joker's smacking (Brandi - if you haven't seen this movie, he will drive you crazy!). Did this annoy anyone else or was it just me? Overall it was a great movie and I would watch it again. Josh stayed awake through the whole movie, so that is proof that it is good!

I am excited because I have been exercising and eating better for the past two weeks. I have lost 4 pounds - YEAH ME! I have about 8 more to go! I just have to stay focused and not let the chocolate cravings overtake me. :)

Today starts Auburn's football season! Although it doesn't feel like football season outside, I am ready to see how the Tigers are going to be this season. If you want to get fired up for Auburn football, see Alex's blog. The fight song gets me fired up everytime I hear it! WAR EAGLE!!!!

Playing Catch-Up

I won't go into major details about the past two months. I just wanted to post some pictures for you to see.

This picture is from the 4th of July. This is my mom with Clay, Hannah & Emily.

The pictures below are from our beach trip with the Courington family. We had a great time. Hannah LOVED the water and the sand. I lost her in a wave for about 5 seconds and I think I had a mild heart attack in the process. All was fine but she still wasn't scared of the ocean. We did all the normal stuff - fished, shopped, played in the sand, swam in the ocean, putt-putt golf and lots of eating!

One Sunday afternoon Hannah got quiet. I went to check on her and she had smeared my mascara all over her mouth. Josh held her up in the mirror and she said "I am pretty, daddy!" Hilarious!

We have been hooked on the Olympics just like the rest of you who blogged about it. I am glad it is over, though. Now I can go to bed at a decent hour. We also went to two Barons games. We had a lot of fun. It only costs $6.00 a person to get in - Cheap entertainment. The great thing is the two times we went people handed us free tickets at the gate! YEAH!

Hannah went to the doctor for her 2 year check-up on Monday. She was 35 inches long and 26 lbs and 6 oz. She is still in the 95th percentile of height and 50th in weight - still tall & skinny! Her doctor took one look at her legs and said "I can tell she is very active. All the bruises are in the right place." That was an understatement. She goes non-stop all day. This morning I had to call poison control because I found her sucking on the toothpaste. I wasn't sure how much she had so I wanted to make sure I didn't need to take her to the hospital (apparently fluoride could be poisonous for people under 6). Now I am checking for vomiting and diarrhea. That is fun, huh? She is fine though - just trying to make my day interesting!

Birthday Pictures - Part II

As you know, I had a lot planned for an outside party and we had to modify our plans a little bit. We did get to have the pinata. Josh got it ready but we were in a confined space on the carport. It was fine. No one got hurt but there were a few close calls. The kids were excited to take a swing and forgot to watch out for each other!

Josh holding the pinata for the kids to hit it.

Kim had to hold Hannah up so she could get a good swing.

Emily taking a swing at it.

This is what happened to George after Kyle took the final swing!

Sweet little Bayley playing with Hannah's toys. She is such a big girl now!

We also played a game that is like Pin the Tail on the Donkey but you place a butterfly sticker on the log George is looking at. Some kids wanted to be blindfolded and some did not.

Ian playing the game.

Maddie is so adorable! She decided she wanted to play this game.

We decided that since it wasn't lightning we would let the kids get in the sprinkler. They had a really good time until it burst. So Josh turned the hose on the kids. Then he let them spray each other. Hannah LOVED this!

Hannah lost her pants.

Hannah is getting a drink of water. She had a mouth full! Check out Susan's blog for more pictures.
