Loving the warm weather!

It has been a week or so since I last blog. My excuse is that I have been having so much fun in this BEAUTIFUL weather God has given us that my days have been spent outdoors with Hannah. Last week on Thursday I took Hannah to the zoo. She LOVED it. She liked looking at all the animals and walked most of the day. They have an exhibit called the Lorikeet Aviary and you can buy nectar and feed the birds. The birds fly all around and will land on you if they feel like it. Hannah liked it at first but she screamed a few times. I am glad that one didn't land on her because I don't think she would have handled it well. You will notice the clothes change. She wore big girl panties and had an accident(thankfully while we were outside). What made me laugh is that earlier the goat she is petting in the picture below peed and when she had her accident she said "Mommy I am just like the animals!" She thought it was funny. So if you were wondering she is still in diapers. I don't know if she will ever care enough to potty all the time! ANYWAY!

The next day we met Josh for lunch at Chic-Fil-A. Hannah played on the playground for a little while. Then we went to Babies R'Us. I was so tempted to buy some boy things but I know I need to wait until I know for sure. That night I rented two movies and put Hannah to bed early. Josh was working with Mark so I watched my movie then went to bed. Saturday night we went to David & Susan's for dinner. It was yummy, like always. Sunday mom took Hannah home with her after morning worship. Josh & I spent the afternoon cleaning our house. Then after evening services everyone came over for dinner. Josh grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. My mouth is watering thinking about how good those hamburgers were! :0)

Tuesday I met Jennifer at Chic-Fil-A and our kids played for almost 5 1/2 hours on the playground. I know that is a long time to be at one place but when you are with a friend and your kids are playing well with each other, why go home and have to entertain your child? Plus they are getting worn out from playing so hard!

Thursday I met Jennifer at the park and our kids played for a few hours. They ended up in the little creek in park. Hannah was drenched from head to toe but loved playing in the water.

Today Jennifer and Kim brought their kids over to play in Hannah's pool. They all had a blast - splashing and squirting each other with water guns. They ended the day with a "Push-Pop" ice cream. It was another great day. I am already loving the warm weather!

If you are still reading, a little FYI Food World is having a 3 day sale (Fri, Sat, & Sun.) they have Oscar Myer hot dogs for $.99 a pack. There is a limit of 4 but if you want more, you can take the ad to Walmart and they will honor it. This is a great deal for those of us who have kids that LOVE hot dogs! Plus you can put them in the freezer and use when you need a quick meal. They also have bananas for $.39 a pound. Just thought I would let you bargain shoppers know! Have a GREAT weekend!

Lads to Leaders 2009

We left last Thursday for Nashville to attend the annual Lads to Leaders convention. We had a GREAT time. Our youth did an excellent job in all that they did. They are a great group and I am proud of each of them. Hannah loved being at the Opryland Hotel. She enjoyed all the waterfalls and being around everyone we know.

Here is Hannah in front of the fish tank at Bass Pro Shop. She watched the fish for a long time.

Hannah in front of one of the waterfalls, looking so sweet!

Hannah & I (my hair is looking a mess - I am trying to grow it out to cut it differently and it is driving me crazy!)

Hannah & Erica listening to Addi read her Bible reading.

Hannah saying "It's my turn next." She wanted to read the Bible and she did. She got up and said something about God's Word and In the beginning.

Josh took Hannah across the stage when the K-2nd grade went on stage. She led her song, which I will try to post video soon.

After the Sat. night awards we had a surprise party for Sally in Billy & Mary's room. We had such a great time!

Hannah giving Sally a birthday hug.

Alex and Zac hid Easter eggs in our room for the little kids. They had fun trying to find them.

The Easter bunny came to our hotel room and left a basket for Hannah (these pics are terrible. I should have changed the setting on my camera but we were running low on time)

In pregnancy world, I am officially out of the 1st trimester! YEAH! I have been having very strange dreams. Sunday night my dream was about the baby. I went for an ultrasound and Brandi was with me. They told me it was a boy. The nurses were so excited because it was a boy. I was looking at my baby on the monitor and noticed that he was missing a leg. I asked the nurse and she acted like it was no big deal and was more excited about it being a boy. So I call Josh and he just kept talking about how great it was that it was a boy but no one was concerned that this child didn't have a leg! STRANGE!

Yesterday Hannah got a tootsie roll stuck in her hair. I gave her two, she went to watch tv, & fell asleep apparently with her hand in her hair. When she woke up she started crying and screaming it was stuck. Thankfully I managed to get it out without having to cut her hair. Life is never boring with this child around!

Busy, Busy Weekend (again)!

Friday night Josh worked late cutting grass and working on lawn mowers with Mark. Hannah & I had shopped all day and we were exhausted. So I got a pizza and we spent the night watching Super Nanny. Hannah went to bed right after & I followed right behind her.

Saturday I got up, cleaned the bathroom, unloaded & loaded the dishwasher. Then we went to Maddie's birthday party. We all had a good time. Hannah loved the Carebear cake (it was really cute!) & playing outside. When we left the birthday party, we decided that we were going to drive down to Tuscaloosa to watch the Blue Angels fly. We couldn't make it all the way to the airport, where the show was held. We ended up on a soccer field and they flew right over our heads! It was awesome! We had a GREAT time!!! Once we left Tuscaloosa, we went to David & Susan's house to eat a steak dinner. It was SO GOOD!!! I wish I had some now. :0) By the time we got home, I could barely keep my eyes opened.

Sunday morning after church we had a Lads to Leaders meeting and Billy covered the scrapbook for us. We waited around and worked on the last details of it while he finished. Then we went with Billy, Mary, & Alex to eat Mexican food. I have been craving (I used that term loosely ~ I don't really crave but it just sounds really good to me) salty food, especially chips and salsa. I ate until I was about to burst. We rushed home, changed clothes, & Hannah & I went back to the church building where Emily & Jared had an Easter egg hunt for the little kids. They had so much fun! Hannah was so excited to find all of the eggs and loved that I let her eat so much candy. Thanks again Emily & Jared. We know why all the kids love you so much!

We went from the Easter egg hunt to West Concord church of Christ where the girl's lead their songs & said their speeches for the ladies at 5:00. Hannah was asleep when we got there but she woke up ready to lead her song. She did a GREAT job. She was a little timid but give her a couple of years and she will be a pro. That will be great because then I won't have to start the song for her. :) Once again by the time my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light!

Today Hannah & I went shopping for sandals. She needed a brown & white pair. I had a doctor's appointment this afternoon AND....

I cried when I heard it. I felt so dumb laying on the table bawling but I was just SO EXCITED!!!! It was beating 169 times a minutes. I had lost a little weight so the doc told me to make sure I was eating enough. It has been a while since someone told me that! LOL! I think it is just that I have had more energy the last couple of weeks and have been more active than I was. I am not too concerned because it wasn't more than a pound or so. Plus the last time I weighed I was still on the antibiotic and with all the water I was having to drink with it, it was probably just water weight (don't worry I am still drinking enough water now)

I go back in 4 weeks. I am so glad that this is FINALLY feeling like a normal pregnancy. Unfortunately when I go back I will only be 17 weeks. That means I have to wait another 4 weeks for the ultrasound. So we will not know the gender until at least 8 more weeks! That is torture for a pregnant lady (and everyone else since that is the most asked question lately)! Anyway I am feeling good and must go cook some dinner! Sorry this was so long!
