WAR EAGLE!!!!

Most of you probably know that Auburn won their bowl game. Yipee, Skippy! In Alabama there is a media frenzy that is driving me crazy - they call it the "Saban Era." I am happy that Alabama finally settled on a good coach. I hope he will turn the program around and win a few games. However, it is a little disturbing and ridiculous that Fox 6 News would interrupt regular programming to wait on Nick Saban get off the plane! Do they know he isn't the president? It is humorous. Most (not all) AL fans and the media are acting like they already beat Auburn and won the National Championship. Good luck to them but there is still a lot of games to be played before we find out what the Alabama program will do. I am ready for next season and may the best team win. In the meantime, will channel 6 just play the Rachel Ray show and leave the sports reporting to the regular time slot and ESPN?

In other news, this week has been great. Hannah has been her usual sweet little self. We only went out one day this week. We went to the Galleria and Hannah sat in her stroller the whole time. She is a great shopper. The rest of the week we stayed at home and just enjoyed not having anything to do. We took down our Christmas decorations (it is about time) and tried get the house put back together. Yesterday was an interesting day. It started at 4:30 am when I woke up to the tornado siren going off. Josh had already left for work. So I turned on the tv and they said it was heading right towards us. So I got Hannah out of bed, fixed her a bottle, grabbed a pillow, flashlight, and radio, and to the linen closet we went. Hannah is just looking at me like "This is new. Why are we in here?" It did not seem that it really got that bad at our house. I was in the closet so it is a little hard to hear. Well they finally said it was past us so I went back to bed, but Hannah was ready to play. I never did go back to sleep. Later in the day, Clay & Emily stayed with me a little while so Amy could grocery shop in peace. We had fun. Also, Lauren came to exchange Christmas presents. We haven't had the same schedule in a while and this was the first opportunity we have had to do something together. Then last night we went to Costa's to eat and it was an experience. After watching a man throw up and then having a not so bright waitress, I will say it will be a while before I care to go back there again! The fellowship was great but maybe next time we can fellowship at another restaurant.

Channel 33/40 wasn't any better! I turned it on to watch my soaps and the soap opera was in a little 3 inch square at the top of the screen and the rest of the screen was just a still video of an airplane on a runway- waiting on Nick Saban. I was furious!!
It seems like I haven't seen Hannah in forever!! We'll be glad to be back to church tomorrow!

I tried to eat a salad today and I thought about the man from last night- I threw most of it away. He was good diet incentive!

THANK YOU!!!!! I am so glad that someone agrees with me. If I have to choose, I am going to go with Alabama..BUT...when I got home the other day and sat down to watch my Rachael Ray that I had taped and all I got was a bunch of people talking about the new Alabama coach...I had a hissy fit! All I ask is that they leave the shows I TiVo alone. Is that too much to ask? Hours and hours of programming and they have to interupt the ones I watch? Why is that??????
